This journal contribution
is concerned with the examination of the thesis that gender
role stereotypes are one of many relevant predictors for the
increase in violence from male youth. It is also involved with
the question whether it’s meaningful or necessary to do
an empirical study on the topic "violence in schools”
and gender role stereotypes as an important indicator for the
increase in violence. To this we would like to add a few analysis
results – a comparison of the prediction strength of class
climate and that of gender role stereotypes – which will
make it clear that gender role stereotypes are an important,
but not a sufficiently adequate predictor for violence in schools. |
